Ogio Politan - washing machine friendly?

My cat pee'd on my Ogio Politan bag and I cant get the smell out.
I've tried Febreze and other sprays but to no avail. The smell is reduced but I can't get rid of all of it. There is probably a section i can't get to or it has seeped in so sprays don't seem to be the way.

I managed to get the smell out of other stuff on a 60C wash but I don't know if it is safe to put this bag in the washing machine - I don't want to ruin it.

Any help/advice would be appreciated

Thanks

One thing I do know that works (from personal experience!) is Johnson's Stain and Odour Remover. I get mine from the local pet shop. Febreeze is no good at getting smells out. Another alternative is hand washing using biological washing powder. This will break down the bacteria. I didn't know what your bag was, so I looked up the name. If it is one of the rucksacks, I would wash it in a cool wash and scrub washing powder into it. Rinse well and hang outside to dry.
