What is the myth about the Touchdown Jesus in Notre Dame?
At a University in Notre Dame there is a mural of Jesus and his followers, made of granite, on the side of the library. It is visible from the football field and Jesus has his arms above his head, giving the mural the nickname Touchdown Jesus. Apparently there is a myth about the mural, and I'm supposed to try and find it out for one of my classes. Anyone have any info? Thanks.
The image of Jesus on the library is visible from the stadium, and wags interpreted the raised hands of Jesus as signaling a touchdown. Of course, that is not a valid interpretation.
