No respect for Green Bay. What else is new?
Someone explain to me how the Denver Broncos are favored to win over the Green Bay Packers. If you go by record, Green Bay is better. If you go by common opponents, Green Bay is better. Green Bay beat San Diego by 7. Denver lost to San Diego by 38. THIRTY EIGHT.
Am I supposed to believe in that home field advantage crap? Mile High? The same place where they went to overtime with OAKLAND? Where they were smacked around 41 - 3 by the Chargers (who Green Bay beat)?
Oh, and why is Green Bay not included in the top 2 teams in the NFC? They say it's the Giants and Cowboys. Green Bay beat the Giants by 22.
Are the Packers an imaginary team that only exists in my mind?
I believe it partially has to do with homefield. Regardless of their past losses this year, Mile High has typically been a tough place to play. (And this is coming from a Chargers fan)
As far as the rest, I believe it has a lot to do with the fact that the Broncos have the number one defense in terms of pass yardage allowed, and that Green Bay is last in the league in terms of offensive rushing yardage. Odds makers are betting that the offense is going to have a hard time getting anything going.
