Tips on setting custom white balance on nikon d40?
I know how to set it but a lot of times I get the message saying unable to read the data. Any tips on how to do this more accurately?
When taking a reading for custom white balance, always take a picture of the white target before selecting to create white balance data. You may notice that the shutter speed/aperture is set wrong and is making a picture that is far too dark. Once the exposure is set right, keep the settings and THEN do your custom white balance. I hope this works!
