So then Gibbs is stuck in there with them, but he's planned that all along. He wanted to be in there to try and figure out what was happening. Cody said he wanted to see his mother, and that if they didn't bring him his mother before sundown, he would let off the bomb. Tony went to find Cody's father and told him what was happening, and he said that his wife had been dead a year. Tony went back to the school and was talking to them through the door and said "Cody, I just wanted to tell Agent Gibbs that we have Agent Kate Todd out looking for your mother now" which was his way of telling Gibbs that the mother was dead, since Kate is dead.
Back at the lab, Abby and McGee manage to hack into one of the computers at the back of the classroom so they can see what's happening using the computer's webcam. They can also type messages to Gibbs up on the screen so that only he can see. They communicate with him, with them typing things on the screen and Gibbs using sign language. Cody was looking the other way but turns around and yells at Gibbs for communicating with someone, which he would not have been able to know since he had his head turned, so Abby and McGee realise he must be wearing an earwig and someone else controlling him.
DiNozzo manages to find out who is controlling Cody and where they are getting the signal from, and tape over it so that whoever it is that's controlling Cody, who can see a live video of the classroom, is actually seeing the same tape from earlier. They get everyone out including Cody who is innocent. Then Gibbs and DiNozzo go to the van where there are two guys who were controlling Cody. They give Ziva, who is back at the school, the signal and she switches back to the live feed from the classroom, steps in front of the camera and says "Gotcha" or something like that. Then Gibbs and DiNozzo arrest the two guys.
Then Cody is reunited with his father and mother who Jen found. His mother faked her own death because she knew that if she was alive the two guys who had Cody would've hurt her family or something.
