What other leaves look like black raspberry bush leaves?
I planted a black raspberry bush last spring and this spring I noticed similar looking leaves a few feet away. I'm not convinced these are black raspberry bushes growing. What other plants share similar looking leaves?
Raspberry plants propagate by runners that grow underground and pop up a few feet from the plant. It will keep doing this until there are shoots 10, 20, 30 feet from where you originally planted it. If you aren't careful and pull unwanted runners, they can take over the bed and even grow out into the lawn.
